5 Reasons Why Our Tenants Love Bristol

One of the most exciting cities in the South West of England is Bristol; a major city with a strong community feel.  The Sunday Times recently named Bristol as the best city to live in 2017 and it’s no surprise to us or our wonderful tenants!

Jobs Market

For those looking to get ahead in their career, Bristol is playing an ever growing role in the jobs market, with more FTSE 500 companies based in the city than before. Large companies such as Lloyds Bank have a large presence as well as Tesco and OVO Energy.

Food & Drink

When it comes to eating out in Bristol you are well and truly spoilt for choice. There’s so much more on offer than the typical chain restaurants. Take a walk down the famous Gloucester Road and you’ll find everything from trendy burger joints such as Atomic Burger to quirky cafes such as Tinto Lounge. You cannot visit Gloucester Road without calling in at The Hobgoblin – their chicken wings are to die for!

For those looking for a great night out, you have the choice of cool speakeasies such as Milk Thistle, a four storey glamourous cocktail bar in a stunning historic building, or an array of trendy craft beer bars all along King Street. One of our favourites is the King Street Brew House, a micro-brewery serving a huge range of beers – their food is delicious too!

Culture

A cultural hub, Bristol Harbourside has so much on offer, from museums to art centres and the beautiful millennium square, locals and visitors often flock to enjoy a day by the water.  Don’t miss the annual Bristol Harbour Festival, it’s one of the UK’s largest public festivals, bursting at the seams with live music, street food and performances.

There’s no getting away from the fact that Bristol is a-wash with culture. Banksy’s famous thought provoking street art can be found all across the city, you’re never too far from a stencilled masterpiece!

Getting Around

One of the most popular modes of transport in Bristol is cycling. There has been heavy investment in laying cycle routes across the city. Most paths are set back from the road a little making your commute to work or university much safer, as well as, far more scenic.

The Horizon

10 minutes from our luxury apartments in the Horizon building you’ll find the popular coffee shop Spicer and Cole, famous for its welcoming atmosphere and for using coffee beans sourced from Berlin and London.

A stones-throw away from Horizon you’ll find Cabot Circus, a £500million shopping centre with over 90 stores including 15 major flagships such as Hugo Boss. If you’re looking for something a little different you’ll find beautiful independent boutiques dotted across the city from vintage clothes to homeware there’s something for everyone.

We have a variety of fabulous apartments available in Bristol City centre, starting from £1,150 per calendar month. If you would like to arrange a viewing tour, please contact our helpful Lettings Team on 0207 907 5555 or lettings@delphgroup.com
